
RAC Training Workshop Completes on Praslin
Twenty-two refrigeration and air-conditioning technicians from Praslin and La Digue completed a five-day certification workshop organised by the Ozone Unit in partnership with UNIDO.
Programme highlights
The workshop covered safe handling of flammable refrigerants (R-32, R-290), leak detection with electronic sensors, recovery and recycling procedures, and the regulatory requirements under the Ozone Regulations 2000. Participants received certification recognised by the Ozone Unit for import permit eligibility.
Ongoing training
The Ozone Unit conducts regular training across Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. Technicians and employers can register interest for upcoming workshops by contacting the Unit directly.
